This one is pretty new to me. I like the design, seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to make something like it.

Again, the hard part is making it extend and retract.

Here's a trailer for the game shown from the point of view of being inside the knife, showing gears turn and the slides move the blade into place.

The Assassins guild he belongs to also cuts off the ring finger to provide a gap for the blade to extend through. .....I won't ...

Good morning all,

I found this board yesterday and mistakenly posted before coming to the welcome forum, but now I'm making amends.

I'm LT and I've only recently developed an interest in engineering and electronics since making my first shuriken - I found crafting something from a metal bar to a full finished product after hours over a grinding wheel a very rewarding experience as I'd actually made and achieved something.

For a good wrist spike to work properly, wouldn't the idea be for a spring to keep the spike in, instead of pushing it out. You use the ring on the finger to pull the spike out (going against the spring) and then when you let off, the spring brings the spike back in. You wouldn't want a strong spring, just enough to keep the spike in. Would this work?

Baraka first appeared in Mortal Kombat 2 way back in 1993.

As a Tarkatan like all members of the fictional race he has blades inside his forearms that both both deploy and retract on Baraka's command although it has never been further explaned or developed how as the blade's origin are organic rather then mechanical.

From under the sleeves of his black leather trenchcoat spring two large switchblade forearm swords. We only get to see him use them once, but what a battle!

Strange thing is they flip out the side like a normal switchblade, but when he closes it the blades retract straight down like a out-the-front ...

I have a particular liking for a mean spike on the forearm, but most are pretty basic........a springloaded spike with a push button is not terribly impressive, which is why i spent a good few hours designing my version ( I hope and prey the link works).

Some numbers: The spike is 6mm X 190mm and the casing is 23.4mm X 240mm. There is quite a discrepancy between casing length and spike length, but i feel the trade-off in what is basically a modified stiletto design is worthwhile. The majority ...

I spent hours over hours on the internet to find a F18-Fighter ControlStick. No chance... All I found is HiRevSimulations Replicas. But they're more into military productions for flight simulators. So has anyone an idea, where I can get one?

It don't has to be functional... I only need the concave stick and buttons.

I plan to "transplant" the stick on a normal PC-Joystick. Wire the buttons with original electronics and want to have fun

After so much searching I finally found something that we can play with.

I went internet digging and I found a forum for people who make their own Predator costumes and props.

As most of us know, Predators are a alien race of hunters who wear large automatic forearm gauntlet blades.

So I searched through all their forum for a few hours and dug up everything I could on how they make thier wrist blades.

Some are simple with rubberbands or such to move the blade.
