Take the lock and add a second part to it thats attached to a door-henge type metal flap thing. opening the lock will release the claws and lock them in place at the end by having the metal flap thing fall into a groove on the claws. This lock will be on a compression spring to hold it down. I'm not going to spring-load the claws on this for safety/control reasons, i'll ...

Don't know if anyone noticed it past Rachel Nichols hottness, but the white ninja, Storm Shadow, definatly had a hidden blade in the movie.

Nothing is shown but the blade, and only for a second or two.

It appeared to be a single slide, double edged blade. Like the SAW blade, only on the bottom, not top of the arm.

Automatic retraction, but it looked like he activated a button on the top of his forearm with his left hand.

Its at the part where

While making it I remembered a toy I had as a kid (which probably Hooked me into retractable arm devices) It was a Hubley Panther Derringer arm device. THe only drawback was it swug ...

After so much searching I finally found something that we can play with.

I went internet digging and I found a forum for people who make their own Predator costumes and props.

As most of us know, Predators are a alien race of hunters who wear large automatic forearm gauntlet blades.

So I searched through all their forum for a few hours and dug up everything I could on how they make thier wrist blades.

Some are simple with rubberbands or such to move the blade.

Your Buddy BLADESWITCH is confused?

I changed the title from"Hey Fella's" to "BloodRayne Sword" to so the thread title reflects the weapon involved. Makes it easy to find that way. No offence. Sinza

Hey Jonathan we spoke a lil' while ago regarding you trying to produce a similar weapon to the one Lawrence Olivier carried as "Die Weiss Angel" (the White Angel) in the movie The Marathon Man but unfortunately you hadn't seen the film, Im just wondering if you had seen the film and if there are any ideas in the ol' pipeline yet mate?

Anyone remember seeing that Johnny Depp film about Jack the Ripper called "From Hell" coz im sure that creepy little pimp/ponce character with the silver tooth had a wrist blade of some sort but you only see it retract (i think) like its sprung loaded

Im guessing Sinz or Jerry may be the ones to enlighten us all but we'll have to just wait and see i guess

Hey How' bout 'nother anime character? Dunno if this qualifies, but since you did Wolvie and King of Bandit Jing, I thought I'd mention this one...

The Guyver

His blades are kinda funky. I guess that's my thing... LOL Starts off as short forearm spikes, then... shnikt! (to steal a Wolvie sound effect... :) )

Basically alien bio-armor. Unlike Wolvies claws, the blades don't seem to be bound by the physical constraints of the wielders arms, but rather are assembled dynamically ...

I had happily put this movie and comic out of my mind until I thought of it the other night.

"Based on the erotic horror comic strip by David Quinn and Tim Vigil, Re-Animator producer/director Brian Yuzna's shocker is an appallingly bad devil-in-disguise version of The Crow. Shattered after the murder of his girlfriend by a criminally demonic sect called The Hand, John Jaspers (Mark Frost) signs away his soul to the Devil in return for vengeance on her killers.
