Hey Slade,.....

You're new here, so I'll take the time to pass on a little advice.

Nobody minds new members introducing themselves and giving a little background information about their interests...... In fact it's nice to meet new members and have the chance to share ideas on topics like knife collecting and exotic weapon designing. We encounter people from all over the world, and many of them bring to the forum new ideas and design concepts to examine and develop. Just the other day we had a new member from Mexico submit photos and drawings of a fully functional all metal Double Action Out The Front (DAOTF) wrist blade that he built, and let me tell you that thing turned out SWEET !!

The point is... We really enjoy new members. And we really look forward to the new projects and ideas they have to share.

Now let's talk about this post you just made.......

You started a new thread and the topic was yourself, "slade der hasslich"...... and all you had to say about yourself was "whats up!"......Let's be honest, all this did was waste space by making a useless post. It really didn't contribute anything interesting or worthwhile at all to the forum.

This is a quote from the page that covers The 10 Rules.......

"Please...it's a simple request...read and think before you post. Please don't fill up the space with 'junk' posts."

Rule number 9 clearly states......

"Post quality, not quantity. Make your post worth it.
If you're gonna tell us about something, if you can, don't just post a link. Post a BUNCH of pictures, lots of info, and the video too. Tell us about it. Give us as much info as you can, make it a great post full of pictures, links, lots of info, everything you can. Make it a post people will be talking about!"

And while we're on the subject of rules, let me draw your attention to rule number 2....

"Keep your posts understandable
(easily readable basically) Spelling and grammar must be acceptable.Use capitalization correctly (no all caps or lack of caps).Use punctuation and contractions correctly. Start with a capital letter and end with a punctuation mark.
I DO NOT WANT TO BE GRAMMER POLICE. I understand that many of you are used to texting, this isn't the place for it. If you are going to write here please do it right. It's easy....start with a capital, end with a punctuation mark, use commas and apostrophes, use spell check if you can't spell."

Your post was two words and one punctuation mark ...... "whats up!"..... and it contains three errors.

1. Lack of capitalization. Sentences need to begin with a capital even if they are only two words.
2. The contraction for "what is", is correctly written "what's", and it contains an apostrophe.
3. "What's up"? is a question, and therefore should include a question mark for punctuation.

I know I'm dropping the hammer kind of hard on you,..... But the rules are there to be followed, and they aren't just something that was put there for you to read in order to gain membership.

Take some time to look around....... Check out some of the topics you find interesting and get used to how this site navigates. Be sure to use the "Search" function located on the Left side of the main page under the "New Member Quick Links"...... It can help you find information about specific interests and topics.

And please bro,... Don't take any of the above comments too personally. I understand it takes a while for new members to get used to how this forum operates, and I'm just trying to help make sure you get started off on the right foot.
