Here's one of the most simple designs. The reason I put this in the manual section is that even though this is a gravity knife it can be made legal. The difference is that in a gravity knife the blade is loose enough to slide forward by gravity or centrifugal force (snapping your wrist), but if tight enough or if something like magnets were used, the blade would not be able to open unless you grabbed the knob and manually slid it forward and back.

That is a HUGE difference in a court of law.

If a cop is standing in front of a judge with your knife in his hand and he can give 3 or 4 tries to snap that open and it opens they will call it a gravity knife and it's illegal. BUT if it is made so it will not open unless you move it by hand it's NOT a gravity knife and the mechanics of the knife are legal.

Do what you can with it. It's a simple and easy gravity knife, but can also be a great manual OTF knife.

And a manual Out-The-Front knife with legal blade length strapped to your arm is NOT illegal. It is not illegal to carry that way and nothing says it can't be strapped down.

But remember the cops and the courts will still see you as carrying a weapon...because that's really what it is. You know it and I know it and they know it. So always be smart and be careful.

Oh yeah....same guy, gotta be! Same voice, same look, it's him.

I looked to see if I could find WHO he is. If you guys can track him down lets get him on here!!

And as always, all you members should always keep your eyes our for these kind of potential members. If you see cool guys like this who build cool toys like the stuff we have on here...give them a shout and a link and see if we can get them to join.

I love the idea of using a nut and bolt to tighten it in place. Takes time, but is effective.
