| Hello, merry creators of potentially lethal weapons (but definitely cool-looking shelve material!).
I just joined the forum yesterday, and reading through some threads, I've seen numerous "new guys" get a recommendation to introduce themselves here, and I figured that such a recommendation probably applies to me as well!
Well, here goes. I'm 21 years old, from Denmark, a small country up in Northern Europe, East of the UK, West of Sweden.
I have an education as an auto mechanic, I was educated at a Peugeot garage. So I guess I have some experience with how mechanics work, and a bit understand of electricity as well.
I've never really dealt much with weapons in my life before, mostly the kind that fires projectiles (a bit of air rifle shooting and also a few shots fired at the firing range as a conscript in the Danish army - this time also gave me a very good sense of safety and responsibility around weapons), but after playing all 3 installments of the Assassin's Creed series, I started Googling and searching YouTube. Yes, admitted, I searched for DIY hidden blades!
Either way, I eventually landed on Bserk's videos on YouTube, and he directed the viewers onto this site. I figured, "hey, why not?" and signed up. So here I am!
At this point, I haven't looked at much, but I actually think this site has so much more to offer than just hidden blades. Since I love messing around with mechanics and stuff like that, I might actually develop a new hobby in creating different sorts of weapons, most likely the harmless kind the begin with (unsharpened), while I get used to the idea of actually dealing with weapons.
So, that's a little intro about myself. I hope to spend a lot of hours on this forum in the future, reading and discussing what can be done and what can't be done.
Cheers all! | |

| Welcome!
Don't forget to read through the New Member Quick Links (there are a lot of sweet links) on the left, and reading the general rules. It's generally much appreciated if you comply to the rules, and search for things before you post, read through the whole thread before you post, etc.
Happy building! | |

| Thanks for the warm welcome! I've already read the rules thoroughly, and in my opinion, they are all just common sense, so it shouldn't be a problem complying to them I didn't notice the links on the left, though, so thank you for pointing those out, Irianthul! | |

| Always happy to help And I'll tell you another thing which took me a loooot of time to figure out: Do you see those plus and minus signs on the far right of someone's post? Clicking that is what gives 'Reputation points'. It's noted on your profile, lowest thing, right under 'points' If you think someone has given a very good contribution to a discussion, or has made something awesome, you can click the plus sign to give them positive reputation points. If someone says "0mg guizze Im new hear, can u please tell meh how too mak an assasin creed hidden blade please omg omg plzzzz? :) :L" Then the minus sign is there to give them negative reputation points. Then 2 other things which people really don't like on this forum: - Lying (but that's in the rules, and that makes sense. Includes false promises though.) - Horrid spelling (Although that doesn't seem to be much of an issue with you. Our great watch-hound for spelling is ShadowHound. One thing you should watch out is not using forum supported smileys. For instance, the colon + right parentheses smiley isn't supported by the forum, so find another one for that So if you got those down, you'll be good, probably! Happy building!

| Yea, I already stumbled across a few correctional posts of his - and took it in immediately (I like how you made a colon + right paranthesis smiley yourself, though ) Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to my time here, and the kind welcomes so far only serve to confirm my theory, that this is a great forum with great people using it! Update: Oh, and since your latest post in this thread was very helpful, I decided to try out the reputation function you pointed out! And instead of this sentence, you should imagine a colon + right paranthesis smiley

| XIPHOIDS | Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Designed for swift and quick surprise attacks. It is notable for being evolved from the Katar and the Pata, punching swords with the blade sitting inline with the users fist.. |
Doers and Talkers | There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit. |
