| Sorry for posting this so late, but I registered and forgot my password.
However, I totally love this forum, and I want to build some nice knives. I hope you can excuse my bad English and my missing knowledge about building something.

| From one new guy to another... Welcome to the forum.
I find it very odd that 37 people will look at your post, and only 2 (me included) will even bother to acknowledge you, and look forward to the contributions you may have to share.
My time here may be limited, because, I am experiencing the same.
Newbies are the lifeblood of a community like this, and if no one wants to say "Howdy" , Then why visit and share your custom stuff??? |

| Welcome, very glad to have ya!!
To the question above...
We get MANY new members every day. There are over 17,000 members and only 3 moderators and we have normal real jobs, we try to sleep, and we also have other interest that take up our time. You would not believe how much work there is just to keep this thing running straight.
I try, but I can't respond to every post, just not enough time. With all the members we have many are lurkers, they read but don't post...and that's o.k., I do that on other forums.
So, don't be offended if we don't say hello, sometimes people are just busy, sometimes they just check out a post to see if you have something cool, some just don't care, it is what it is.
and by the way...Howdy.

| We do have lives other than this forum, no matter how cool and awesome it is. I'd bet 2/3 of our members are from America/Canada area. In fact, use that map at the bottom of the homepage, and you'll see where the majority of our members come from. And then I'd say that they mainly go on about 7pm-10pm'ish, when they have spare time. This would be around 12pm-3am GMT (I'm from England). So, you'll probably get a lot of "Hello's" around that time. I get a lot of my replies in the middle of the night. I'll get the odd reply off people like Bill who also live in UK. But anyway, Hey to you both, and welcome to the forum, as long as you've read the 10 rules, you'll be fine. | |

| I'm not looking at the time that has gone by, just the views and no replies.
There are some new guys that posted up a hello... 80 people looked at it and no one bothered to acknowledge.
I guess the Canadian clocks are 4 months behind.
sorry if I'm coming across as an Ass, but, like I said... I have a lot to offer, and the welcome wagon is short a wheel or 2.

| Welcome to the Forum! And yes indeed, there are a lot of people joining the forum every day But generally, if you post some nice stuff, you'll get some recognition. And, I beg to differ, but I think the regular posters are the lifeblood. There are a lot of people who have less then 10 posts, and just forgot about the forum afterwards. And about that map feature, I never knew! It's so awesome! I'm proud that The Netherlands is listed as 5th country only an inch behind Australia, and well, far behind Canada, the UK and US of course But awesome! I bet I can make the Netherlands fourth! | |

Did you see the pictures in my original "greetings" post? I did in fact, I liked them! It's a good combination. And I know, I didn't respond to it yet. However, I have it as an open tab in my browser, with approximately 3 other topics I still need to respond to. I respond to topics bit by bit. I do something of this, I respond to a topic. I do something else again, I respond to a topic. Etc, etc. I'll probably answer yours in like 20-30 minutes, maybe tomorrow, as it is kind of late already here (2.30 am). So patience, young padawan! (I don't at all mean that disrespectfully, I do realize that you're over 2.5 times my age. I just like the quote, and I use it a lot daily life. It's kind of my catchphrase, you could say.)

| XIPHOIDS | Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Designed for swift and quick surprise attacks. It is notable for being evolved from the Katar and the Pata, punching swords with the blade sitting inline with the users fist.. |
Doers and Talkers | There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit. |
