| I came to this site during an idle search for interesting knives and got hooked. It's not so much the sharp, pointy things that got my attention but the mechanics that piqued my interest. Here's the little bit of background I can offer:
I have used computers most of my life and can figure most anything out about them. I have done a little IT work and if I can't work something out I have connections to people that can.
I spent a few years working in the oil fields which involved building/repairing tools and working on engines, which has helped me quite a bit in understanding the mechanical aspects of things, which I was not much good at before.
I have build a few fixed blade knives and folders, just to see how they were made, but nothing serious or over complicated.
That's about as much as I can put forward, but I'm sure I'll learn something here, and maybe I can throw out an idea or two to help. | |

| XIPHOIDS | Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Designed for swift and quick surprise attacks. It is notable for being evolved from the Katar and the Pata, punching swords with the blade sitting inline with the users fist.. |
Doers and Talkers | There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit. |
