OK, I've made a video of my slingshot. It's terrible quality, I had to use my phone. Please comment. ( bear in mind that I'm probably not changing it, I've grown attached Razz )

I know I waffle on a lot. I'm hyper cos' I stayed up all night. Sorry guys. Embarassed

I hope I said your name right Joerg. Very Happy

Thanks.

Hey,

Couldn't help, but make the connection. tongue

Thinking about it, this slingshot trend that's going on might just benefit from a little woman's touch. You girls do think differently from us guys and from several encounters with women weaponsmiths, I have to say - Never seen anything like what they built...same high hopes here. Very Happy

So...a bit off the slingshot topic, but on with the good stuff Very Happy ...

I used to build bows back in the day and have come across a pretty cool little material called "Apoxie Sculpt"...something you might be interested in playing with on all kinds of projects.

The guy in the video is Sam Harper and this is his site: Link

The lothlorien bow decorations were made with this stuff...

Nothing special...a few basic sculpting techniques, BUT the results are fantastic!drunken ...just something for inspiration. Wink

In the Spoiler...There is a quick tutorial on how to work with the stuff...if you're interested.

Spoiler:

A girl on the guy's weapons forum is good luck...I don't care what the pirates think, stay a while and have some fun with us. pirat

All Best,

Ivo

Especially when it turns out to be a real girl Razz The last two were fake profiles made by guys. But I think you got your credibility sorted right by mentioning Exotic Automatic in your video.

Nice little toy indeed! You might want to look into getting a different kind of rubber for it, because this, indeed, might break! Safety first! Very Happy

Thanks very much for that connection, it puts me in a very good light indeed. Razz

Thanks for the tips about apoxie sculpt!! I'm definitely going to use it on my hidden blade project - it'll be perfect for my bracer!

Indeed, I am a real girl!

I had to mention the forum really, seeing as that's where I got the information on how to make them.

I will get the right kind of rubber when I have the funds, haha! Til' then, it'll do for now. Very Happy And I will, of course watch for snapping.

Thanks for all the great comments, Very Happy I'm touched. Crying or Very sad Laughing
