| This is a new weapon idea i had. I train with staves and thought this would be a good idea.
Im taking 2 ASP brand 31in expandable batons and welding them together with an 8in piece of tubing in the middle to give it the desired length once extended.
Very simple project. I got the idea after digging the internet for them one day and not being able to find it. I wear an expandable baton everyday at work so it seemed like a plausible idea.

| Those are Monadnok brand. The only problem with those is that that the lock release is situated in the bottom of the end cap | |

| I have a nightstick that twist open to nunchucks. I always thought it would be cool to have two that screw together. You would have: a staff, two 'arnis' sticks, two nunchucks, a 3-sectional staff, or a war flail. All that would be needed would be a screw connection between the two. If this was machined it would be very easy to make. This would be a cool weapon to see in a martial arts demostration where the artist switches between the different modes. On another note...I have a Manadnok Baton, top of the line, but yes...the button is on the bottom. With the friction lock batons you wouldn't be able to do a front strike...a stab...because the baton will close. Here's a idea... design a small handle that you can attach a Manadnok on each end. the handle will have ?????? some form of mechanics....that will allow you to move a slide or press a button and this would press the button on the inside on the baton, allowing you to close. You could do it very simple with a 'T' shaped rod and a couple of springs. Something like this maybe... Just a idea... : : | |

| I remember on old chinese kung-fu movie, all in subtitles. there was a scene with ninja bursting out of the ground, and the good guys, 5 brothers, all had walking staffs. the walking staffs, first had little switchblade sickles/hooks at the tops, then otf spears at the bottoms, then they came apart into 3 part chained segments. There were even more convolutions, long chained devices.
It was a good movie, but the mechanics of the weapons must have been all theatrical props, because before the weapons deployed, there were no traces of segmented stick or anything.
I can not remember the movie name.

| i got to thinking instead of a lever system, id just put 2 holes in the cylinder portion and put rubber stoppers in the holes to maintain a flush appearance.
Also ive never heard of ASP Leverloc i'll have to look that up

| XIPHOIDS | Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Designed for swift and quick surprise attacks. It is notable for being evolved from the Katar and the Pata, punching swords with the blade sitting inline with the users fist.. |
Doers and Talkers | There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit. |
