EXAMPLE: WHY ASK HOW MANY AMPS YOU SHOULD PUMP INTO YOUR DEVICE??? We answered this already.
One amp can kill you quite easily. Often you see amperage in readings of mA or uA and such amperage can hurt but usually not kill. 100 mA can kill if applied for a long enough duration.
A 1 amp shock (less than a second applied) can throw a person into cardiac arrest resulting in death.
So that 120V/10A wall socket in your house has the potential to not only kill you but cook you in your own juices.

Did you see IT THIS TIME? 1 AMP WILL KILL YOU.

and who ever said "yeah in your heart, not if it hits your arm".... Electricity will travel through your body. Hits your arm and goes to your heart. Please..this is why we want you to pay attention. We don't want you to hurt yourself.
This place is for information and/or fun projects. The last thing I would ever want is for someone to do something and get hurt or die.

TEENAGERS..
I understand that you do not know how to be a adult. I understand that. I understand and remember what it was like to be a teenager. Lots of dumb energy.

By the way, having one hand in your pocket while dealing with high voltage is a good safety measure used by electrical engineers, etc. You ground the load before it reaches your heart

Hey SA, I did not know that.
What path does the electricity take if you have one hand in your pocket? If the other hand is at the high voltage source, doesn't the current have to pass through your heart anyway?

Its more about practical behavior while working.
Watch a movie about Van der Graaf generators.
The operators do everything to lessen contact area.

Electricity does not always just shock.
Mr S and Mr V were electricians where I worked,
and they got blown up, they're fine now.

They where testing which fuse was out
in a 3 fuse 3 phase disconnect box.
Mr S was standing behind Mr V who had a Voltage tester.
The voltage tester made a tiny spark, on one of the live fuses.
The spark kicked up some dust, and it caught fire. a micro flash.
The fire, conducted electricity, and became a plasma arc which grew.
The arc ended in a bowling ball size flash.
The hot air singed their hair and gave second degree burns on their noses and ear tips.
An the "pop" pushed them both backward into machinery with nasty corners.

And Mr S and Mr V got really pissed every time somebody said,
"at least you weren't actually shocked."

Ok, I get it... Just a way to provide fewer possibilities for an arc to form, or to accidentally close a circuit...
