O.k. First things first....Go read everything over at Phyreblade's place. He is the inspiration for this forum.
He did a review of the new 'Skeleton Claws' here
http://thedarkblade.wordpress.com/2008/09/01/wolverine-claws-revisited/
I got mine in the mail today....So I'll give my review of the good and the bad...
Here it is next to my Wolverine 'letter opener'....looks pretty close.

Bad first so we can end on a good point.
The Bad:
It has the 'cheap' factor to it. It's just made cheap...crap materials. I'd rather pay twice as much for quality than buy it cheap and have crap!
Plastic. ....PLASTIC!!! What idiot came up with the idea to use plastic for the back of the skeleton hand?!? Just dumb in my opinion.
Cheap plastic 'pleather' wristband.Seems strong enough for what you can use this for....strapping it on and playing in the mirror
I've had plastic butter knives that were sharper than this. really, they didnt put a edge on this at all, the 'edge' is about a 32nd of inch.
I stabbed the box it came in and had the same 'fork effect' I've had on every other multi-bladed toy. One blade will sink deep, but when you have two or more, three in this case, the tips of the blades stop each other. As you press forward the material gets squished between the blades and causes them to jam up. I've said this before, in any real life fighting Xiphoid I'd only have one blade/claw as it would work so much better.

The Good:
It's just fucking cool!
It looks and feels really cool on your hand, this thing is the best feeling claws I've ever held.
It works best if you are alone and have a mirror
It's a good design and not bad for $50. Well worth it to add to the collection.
Did I say it's fucking cool?!?!
This just gives me ideas on how to make a better one.
Quality blade steel: 440 or ATS34...or maybe blade quality titainium. (the highest grade of titainium is known as 'blade quality')
Longer wristband, laced and/or buckled. Not velcro.
Longer blade support. The way this is designed if you really took a swing at something the handle will pivot in your hand and the back end will break your wrist. This needs to be made longer so the whole arm supports the blades and the handle can't pivot.
The move I play with it I think I prefer the vertical blade of the claws over the horizontal blade of my other wrist-blades. They sit higher and would be a pain to hide...but as far as striking and just basic movement with the blades it seems that vertical would be better and more in line with natural punches than horizontal like a punch-dagger.
Multi-blade for looks and play, but for anything serious it would have to be
one blade.
This is nice, I'm happy with it. It's kinda like a Claw-Katar. I got what I paid for, it's a $50 toy, but I'd love to see the $300 version.
