XIPHOIDS
Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of bladed weapons with a dagger blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband or bracer sheath.
Designed for swift and quick surprise attacks. It is notable for being evolved from the Katar and similarities to the Pata, short punching swords with the blade sitting above the user's knuckles.
The Weapon Class of Xiphoid has also expanded to include Wrist Spikes, Wrist Mounted Guns, Flamethrowers, and pretty much any weapon mounted on a hidden or visable wristband.

It ain't really a sword, it is more like a dagger. a dagger about as big as my fore arm. It may be difficult to conceal, unless mobility is sacrificed.

This is it so far. It is a lot bigger than it looks. The blade is 11 1/4" long! It is a good thing I am kinda tall!
I just attached the blade to the slider. I am trying to find new ways to reinforce it, as it only has one hole. I epoxied it, bolted it and epoxied and bolted a piece of aluminum behind it to keep if from turning. I plan to do more, what do you suggest?

the best would be to have it welded to the slider. if you know a mecanic who can weld or even better, a guy who specialized in welding, ask him to do it for you, souldn't cost more then some pocket money.

...well yeah, it would work, but if he's never done it before, you wouldn't want him to fuck up a good blade... :rbd:

I Got it on now. It should hold. If not, oh well, I will get it welded. I am in a slight rut, but tomorrow you should see progress.

I scrapped this idea. I think I may just turn the blade into a cool knife.

hay how bout a handle that comes down from the blade every time it deploys you just have to have hinges welded on the blade but it should work fine and im working on a similar project maybe you and i can help each other out
