Dude, you're awesome. And that's cool advice too~ Keep practicing every day till you can do it, then keep doing it till you can do it every day. Cool story, brah.

Backstage with Alice Cooper. I had a wonderful time! Was able to get into a room pretty much alone with Alice for about ½hour and we had a great discussion about knife throwing!
I gave him a membership for the IKTHOF and explained what it is and who we are...He loved it! Then I gave him the certificate and a really nice black marble plaque of Induction into the Knife Throwers Hall Of Fame. I could tell by the look in his eyes and his response...it really meant a lot to him. He said that people give him gifts all the time, but this really meant something. :)
Alice wants to learn to throw better, so I'm going to help him with that! He also wants to learn competition style throwing and was REALLY interested about coming to one of our throws! So I'm going to work it and see if we can get him to Camp Blanco 2013. And maybe his buddy Steven Tyler too. I mentioned that a friend, Bob Karp, had made a set of throwers for Steven Tyler and Alice said "Steven! My buddy, I'll be seeing him next month. I'll have to talk to him about that." Then he mentioned Ted Nugent.....
So...long story short I made Alice Cooper a brother of the blade, he's going to be getting better at knife throwing, and he's very interested in not only showing up and throwing at competition, but maybe talking his famous friends into playing too!
I said I'd like to help make him a better thrower and he said he'd like that and that we would talk again soon. So I can't promise anything...but I'm making the connection. We really had a great talk. And with all the questions he was asking I could tell that he really was excited and very interested. He's bit by the throwing bug!
By the way...I ended up having front row seats dead center...Most of the show Alice was singing about 4ft away...Awesome show!!
It really couldn't have gone any better :) Looks like I might have a new throwing buddy!

I Guess I'm a bit late to the party, but this is all some of the most awesome stuff ever. My Dad used to sing a lot of Alice Cooper songs when I was a kid, back when We almost got along, but I'm just a wind-up toy & I might as well be on Mars...
How far away was Alice Cooper when he threw all those knives into that target up there? Looks like rather impressive grouping. I've never really managed that. I've dozens of throwing knives, but they never seem to be around when I feel like practicing. I'll try to stop by whenever I visit My Friends in Tacoma - Incredible Individuals aside, I'd really like to learn. I've so many things left to Learn.
For now though, I'mma go find My "Hey Stoopid" cassette & finish some of My woodcarvings, because that's something I can actually do kind of well *right now*
Congratulations, Sinza! I Hope you'll have more radical stuff to share with Us soon!

Tacoma?! wha?? Where you at butterflies? I just moved to Everett from Gig Harbor with a buddy of mine. I don't know if your old enough but we all definitely gotta get a beer sometime.
I can throw a knife and stick it but I'm not splitting asprins in half or nuthin..
I'm more of an ax man myself. I don't know if it's the little bit of Cherokee in me or what but throwing a tomahawk just feels natural.
Now that I know I have a place to build my crazy weapons, maybe I'll get back into my favorite hobby.
Today, hooking up the internet. Tomorrow, the world!.. well work... but the day after.. THE WORLD!

Recently, two of My Friends moved out there, but I'm back in Pennsylvania. This is where most of My time is spent, but I jump around a lot. I can't say when I'll have a chance to get out there, but when I do, I'll let y'all know. I'd Love to take you up on that offer, though - having somebody to work with would do Wonders for My motivation. The Friends I had that were Interested in weapons are... well, they aren't around anymore. They weren't the same ones Who moved to Washington.
I'll definitely be looking forward to more of your work. All I've done recently are a bunch of woodcarvings {I'd boast and say they're nice woodcarvings, but they're nothing special} while listening to Within Temptation & Alice Cooper.

I got a chance to hang out with my knife throwing buddy and IKTHOF member #217 Alice Cooper! First, it was a awesome show as always. Alice Cooper concerts are the things legends are made of! Swords, daggers, the guillotine, straight jacket, confetti, fireworks, 15ft FrankenAlice Monster, rapier filled with money, whips, scantly clad distractions, giant balloons bouncing over the crowd, flying pearls, canes, riding crops for the crowd, more swords, lots of leather, a great band, and about 2 hours of just awesome classic hits! Afterwards I got about 30 minutes with Coop, not a lot of time but I'm happy to get what I can.
We talked throwing knives...he said he's been getting better and throwing some bigger/heavier knives. Alice said he had just gotten some throwing spikes and was playing with those. We talked whips, as the one they use on stage is pretty crappy, so 'll be making Coop a new 9ft whip for stage use
I filled a folder full of pictures from the IKTHOF 2013 Championships in Blanco, on the back of the pictures I told him all about what happens at Blanco, how competition is played, what games we play, etc... He was really happy and seemed very interested. He said he really wants to come down and join the throw! It's all about scheduling, but we'll make it happen!
Every time I see Alice I give him weapons as gifts, so this year I gave him one of my twins....15inch Italian stiletto switchblade dagger blade buffalo horn handle. I kept the match to it. He loved it! Held it to my throat for pictures! Love that guy! Coop said they needed a new knife for the Nightmare part of the show and that this switchblade would work great.
We talked about training, I was also chatting with his assistant about training....he's interested and I'm offering. His assistant Kyler is very cool and was very...enthusiastic...about setting up some training for Alice! Kyler said that Alice was getting really good at throwing knives and if they can swing it they do really want to come to the World Championships and throw with us. What we talked about was when they get home from being on tour about setting up a weekend and flying me down to train Alice for a day or two in knife throwing and bullwhip cracking/targeting. He's been using a whip onstage for decades but has no idea how to really use a real whip...so I need to learn and practice more!!
So.....a switchblade I gave him and a whip I'll be making him will be used in future Alice Cooper tours, we'll be setting up some personal training on knives and whips, he wants to come to Blanco and is really interested in doing competition,....and he held a switchblade dagger to my throat! Awesome night! I'll say it again....Alice Cooper is my favorite person on this planet! Remember the Coop!

Dude, that's so cool that you hang out with Alice I listen to his radio show most nights, a local fm metal station syndicates his show in my little part of the world. So we get Alice at nites from Tuesday till Saturday, he spins damn fine tracks too. My favourite Alice story:
Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Designed for swift and quick surprise attacks. It is notable for being evolved from the Katar and the Pata, punching swords with the blade sitting inline with the users fist..
There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit.
