Between you and me....I paid $500 for the belt and everything. But I will say this, he did make a few mistakes that made it different and a couple other cool additions got left out. It was supposed to be even cooler. But I'm happy with what I have and someday I'll make one even better. He is making other items for me and I will be giving him a good tip. Even with the mistakes I think he should get more, I know the time and effort it takes to built objects and with the hand sewing on the pouches I know this gear took time.
This winter we'll be doing the chest/back harness. Like you see in my avatar picture it will carry 4 knives on the back shoulders and 2 crossed in front. I might design it to hold more... But it will match the belt in looks and construction and I already have D-rings built into the belt for the harness to click into to.

And when you say "everything", do you also mean the knives? |

| Mistakes....
I'll start by saying I am really happy with the belt.
*The back pouches are supposed to be removable like the front are, they are not, they are rivited in place. *The leg straps are a bit short, could use another 2 inches. *Same with the main waist belt, needs 2 more inches. *Because the back pouches do not slide on the mid belt it makes it so the 2 back ax-frogs that we supposed to be built did not get made. *Because he did not follow my design the dagger-frog that was supposed to be on each side did not get built. *The leg straps buckle in the wrong direction, the loose end was supposed to point back and be tucked under two keeper straps. *No keeper straps for any of the 3 belts and I had requested two each....but with all 3 belts being short they wouldn't reach anyways. *I had to go out and buy new magnetic snaps for the back pouches and switch out because what he used were too small and didn't hold shut.
....other than that it's great....
It's not that I'm being picky. He did do a great job. It's just that it was supposed to be better, I designed it better. Was supposed to be 10 out of 10 and he got maybe 6 or 7.
It's the details guys....it's all in the details.
Is it really a big deal that the straps are a little short and no keeper straps??
Yeah. When I design it that way and explain it that way and pay a lot of money for it to be made my way...Yeah, it should be done right. We did get into a couple arguments and we're cool now as things did get changed and the real problem was not Danny...I want to make it clear that Danny is cool!...it's that I had spoken to Danny and Jed and when Jed left the company some of the details 'fell through the cracks'. I understand and we're over it...I'm not real happy about it...but it is what it is and you move on.
So yeah...it's cool as shit and I really like it...but it should have been even cooler. It should fit even better.
The belt with double sheaths and pouches cost $500 to answer your question. I have 4 Bobby Branton #19's @ $100 each. My daggers are $40 for a set of 3. My Dismissals cost $20 each for the 12", $25 for the 14". Skull/Sword buckle was $60
So loaded up it's about $1200 give or take.

Does he make leather vambraces and gloves? I've been thinking about making and Ratonhaketon (Connor Kenway, from Assassin's Creed cosplay, but I can't make one, they would look really bad... OBS: I didn't "quote" because the post would be damn big and kind of don't like it... and it drives me crazy... |

| Despite the mistakes, I still think the thing looks really, really cool, and I like how you have the Sinza logo in the back there. Can't wait to see the chest and back harness. Definitely going to have to look up this company and see more of their work. | |

| XIPHOIDS | Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Doers and Talkers | There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit. |
