Hi everybody! Very Happy

My name is Eva. I'm admittedly a bit of a giddy, semi-hyper person. jumping

I came across this forum while seaching for weapon designs. dwarf

I do a lot of acting clap

, and I like cosplay. bow

I was looking for sword designs for my next costume. sword

I make weapons from wood and foam but have never tried using metal. I'm not sure I'd be very good at that. Sad

But I do enjoy seeing all the cool designs that you guys have here. thumb up

Here I go again rambling on duh

, glad to have ya here.

One thing we really love around here are pictures!
If you have any pictures of any of your projects we would love to see them, weapon related or not.
Also we love costumes, so please show us some cosplay pics!! Just be warned that it is 99% guys on here and boys will be boys! drool

Cool women are hard to find, I know...I've still looking for one, so I welcome you with open arms to our forum. Let me know if there's anything I can do or any questions you might have. When it comes to weapon design I do fairly well myself. I have a huge library of swords, knives, and other weapons if you ever have the need for a project. And as for making a sword out of metal compared to foam...it's all in the artist. If you do well at one you would probably do good at another, just takes learning what to do.

Remember...if someone else did it you can also.

And as for having another female on the forum.....My God it's about time! Dealing with all these teenage boys gets to ya after a while. I really do love women...they drive me crazy and I really don't understand their mentality sometimes, but it's great to have you here. cheers

Welcome to the forums. I'll assume you've read through some posts and already know Bill, Sinza, Shadowhound, and the like are not to be trusted. So if you are ever sad or vulnerable please come straight to me and I'll make sure to keep the dogs at bay Very Happy

(but seriously if you live in Ny and ask to hang out I'm going to demand a time stamped picture first, preferably in cosplay)

Also I'm thinking about getting into cosplay myself. I'm pretty fond of Yuuhi from The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer. (I used to be an editor for DFCG when they did the translations) It's 65 chapters long and a really good read if you are looking for a new series to pick up on.

The image was still a little hard to see, so I digitally enhanced the color spectrum,.... remastered the hue and color saturation levels,..... and then ran the whole thing through an optical filter to clarify the image and re-align the pixels.

Welcome to the forum Eva !!!..... In case you hadn't noticed some of our members get a little crazy at times, but we have a pretty good selection of knowledgeable people here.

Our forum's creator SINZA is a skilled weapon designer, and he's gathered a HUGE amount of weapon information here. You should have no trouble finding many designs and images, to help you with your future projects. If it's sharp and pointy, or otherwise "weapon related"... SINZA has most likely heard about it, and if he hasn't he can still probably tell you where to start looking for it.

Our good buddy Bill resides in a far and distant land across the big pond where everyone talks kind of funny,... but his former military training, and extensive knowledge of weapons from years of being a "bad boy", makes him a pretty good guy to know. (he's also good for laugh, and always says some REALLY funny stuff whenever you pull his chain)

We have a forum member that goes by the screen name of Jerryk25, who has built everything from custom designed "Spike" weapons,... to hand crafted Faberge' styled Easter eggs. Jerry has built items that he's donated to his local museum,... repaired guitars,... customized air guns,.... restored antique knives,..... and done pretty much EVERYTHING at one time or another. Whenever I build something,... I always wonder how much easier it would have been, if I knew how to do it like Jerry would have done it.

Some of our members are working on crossbows......
Some of our members are building armor.....
Some of our members are hand crafting fixed blade knives....

We even have one member from Germany, that built a high powered slingshot rifle out of his discarded Christmas tree!

I am fairly happy with the way it turned out. It's a variation of other costumes I've designed in the past. I was surprised how much of my designs I was able to make in the HereMachine program.
I'm almost done with a 1:6 scale figure I started a few weeks ago. When I finish the figure it will help with the full size costume construction.

Haha, I just thought it was funny how people were freaking out. Although I do have an extreme weakness for cosplayers... speaking of that if you are looking for costume stuff you may consider getting in touch with Lithium. She works at a place that designs custom costumes and props for cosplay.

I don't whine, I'm just not shy about expressing my beliefs which differ from the admins from time to time. They like to goof around with me like this sometimes but I hope there is some brotherhood between us lol.
