| Ya' know.... here's a post I made... My first post to another newbie...
"From one new guy to another... Welcome to the forum.
I find it very odd that 37 people will look at your post, and only 2 (me included) will even bother to acknowledge you, and look forward to the contributions you may have to share.
My time here may be limited, because, I am experiencing the same.
Newbies are the lifeblood of a community like this, and if no one wants to say "Howdy" , Then why visit and share your custom stuff??? "
How can so many people look at a post and not at least say "Hi"
I'm not trying to be combative, but, the welcome wagon is missing a wheel or 2 here. |

| So...this guy just complained because he didn't get enough attention...and then he just quit and left.
Sorry we didn't blow enough wind up your skirt.
12 hours....he gave it 12 hours, in that time complaining that not enough people said 'hi', not only to him but to other new members.
12 hours....WOW...How much attention do you need??

| Wow. He actually left? I was going to say hi... But seriously, attention whore to the power 10? It's not that people don't like you. But you don't automatically get to be known. You need to get known first. You need to need to make a name first anyway before people care about what you have to say. It's like that in the real world, and it's like that on here. I think that's fair. | |

| Dayum' Wolfie, do you have a picture for literally every situation? No offence dude, but you're posts are getting just more aesthetic than helpful. But I laughed in this situation. Anyway, back to the topic. Dude, you come on here, complain in 12 hours as Sinza said, about no-one saying Hi, which we don't HAVE to do, and then leave? Sorry dude, whether you have something to bring to the table or not, thats Douche baggery.
Atleast give it a day or two dude, and if you're not happy leave then, but 12 hours?

| Sad thing is he does killer work. I know who he is from the Sharper Deals forum for switchblades.
Great artist, the guy does tutorials with many pictures and has done many of these knuckle switchblades.
I love his work, always have. Was cool to have him join, but 7 hours later he's complaining....that's just not how it works.
Cobra skin brass knuckle stiletto switchblade....yep, that is cool as fuck!
Sad to see him go. But you know....I have post on here that have NEVER gotten a reply. Many of them. They get lots of looks, but no replys. Do I care? No, not really. My ego gets fed enough here.
If he only would have waited until people got home from work...his time of the day wasn't that great if he was sitting aroung waiting for a reply. 5:30am many people (in the U.S.) are sleeping, after that they are at work until 5-6pm. He closed his account at 5:30pm, right when people were getting home from work. OR for the other side of the world, you guys would have been asleep.
And really...if you're just sitting around waiting for a reply...that's pretty sad.
Am I wrong here????

| Nope, I said the same. In UK here, I get a lot of my replies late at night or when I'm asleep, so I see a lot of my messages in the morning. Patience is virtue. | |

| Yes, I praised it on the other forum,
but I just read this today (sat night april 23 ) I was busy cooking for easter weekend.
how could I respond in time.
Heck, half the time I don't even check every forum string, it would take me 2 hours to review them all.
Well, If it is supposed to be, he will return. Hope he posts again.

| XIPHOIDS | Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Designed for swift and quick surprise attacks. It is notable for being evolved from the Katar and the Pata, punching swords with the blade sitting inline with the users fist.. |
Doers and Talkers | There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit. |
