Jorge Sprave's High Powered Slingsots DEADLY!

His name is Joerg Sprave (on YT anyway) and He is also a very talented SlingShot maker with about 139 videos on His channel showing His powerful creations and tutorials on how to make most of them. Im not going to upload all of His vids but I picked out a few of the ones I thought We'd like on here.

Hey, thanks for the invitation. Good to be here! Seems like I have a lot to catch up, so many interesting designs.

My name is Jörg, 45 yrs., a German, happily married, no kids yet. My main hobby is slingshots, I run The Slingshot Channel on youtube and I am immensely proud about that little success story. I just love designing and making all kinds of rubber based weapons, even though I legally own 34 handguns as well (not easy in Germany). I also have quite a nice collection of folding knifes.


And yes, I also made the gravity knife, but I decided to use a different youtube account in order to not dilute my slingshot channel.

Awesome work Jorg! Glad your a part of the community here now. After watching some of your videos, I now want to build a slingshot. I'm going to try and make a wrist mounted one, I love xyphoid designs.

The big Sprave is getting some attention lately!
I'm so looking forward to the large slingshot cannon.

The big cannon is planned for the summer, I still need to find a location.

What kind of rubber is that, and where can I order a sheet?

I use Thera Band, it comes in rolls.

Good idea posting the "Whats and Wheres" Bruva Jorge, Very informative and helpful!

Since this is a site with a lot of blade talk, I wanted to show you my MEANEST slingshot.

Not only is it a very functional slingshot, but also a stun gun, a pepper spray and a tactical flashlight - it even has two automatic blades build into the fork tips.

That is a badass slingshot! You can attack people longrange (slingshot), midrange (the pepperspray) and short range (knives and stun gun)! Awesome!

Brutally awesome. Feel sorry for the poor bastard that tries to rob you, if there is anyone dumb enough to attempt such a feat. .

Really cool stuff. I think I have looked over nearly every one of your videos. And my god! That cannon is incredible. And the slingshot with the scope and rifle butt. Very nice. I also rather enjoyed the ballistic gel demonstrations. And I was wondering what sort of force those steel balls actually hit with?

Another thing I thought would be interesting, if you compared the slingshot cannon to a real firearm, shooting the ballistic gel. Just a thought. .

Well, I am somewhat limited by the German gun laws.

Shooting firearms is only legal in licensed ranges, and the guys that work there won't allow me to mess with gelatin. So I guess that won't happen.

My strongest conventional slingshots will generate over 80 Joules (> 60 fpe).

BTW, I had to "pimp" my avatar a bit. It needed a better slingshot (forks have been way too high) and also Thera Band Gold bands. Safety glasses are a must, as well as nice, thick arms :-)

Would You consider a fitted wrist Slingshot and moving those Switchblades in a forward position instead of upwards, That would be an ultimate Xiphoid IMHO!?!

BTW I hope those blades are 8.5cm for German Laws!

Its a shame OTFs are illegal there...Though You already got round that Law with Your AK gravity knife eh!

I had been thinking in the past of taking some of my knifemaking materials and making a nice slingshot. I was thinking something like damascus with dark horn handles and brass accents. I'll have to do some drawings and see if I can find a block of damascus thick enough.

This topic is great! I just bought the Thera silver (highest strength) tubing to upgrade my old wrist rocket. I usually shoot traditional archery so I thought it would be good to keep my eye and muscles in shape while I'm walking the dogs. You inspired me to get things going.
