Here are two shooters many people on the said "No way!".
A completely forkless "T-bar" slingshot, and a setup to butterfly Thera Tube Silver (the thickest and sickest tube made by Hygenic).
The shots are recorded in slow motion (1200 fps).

Hey Jorg, I just purchased some silver tubing to upgrade one of my slingshots as well. Do you have any videos of how you attach it to the leather pouch? I've tried a bunch of different knots, but they keep slipping off of the tubing. Thanks in advance!

You should use the knot-in-tube method and the constriction knot for the pouch attachment. Kink and tie does not work well with the thick Thera Silver.
You can see me using that method here (sorry for the German audio, this is an older video before I decided to use English exlusively):

Yes, 30 mm steel. Very powerful.
Your first video, that was done by Melchior Menzel. He hates me because he belongs to the paper punching fraction and believes that I am the slingshot antichrist and the sole reason for the German government to ban all slingshots.
Second video, Dave Canterbury's mod works, but not well. The result is a weak slingshot with low accuracy. I think it is cruel to really shoot an arrow that lame into a deer. My slingbow design is a lot more efficient but I still don't recommend it for "big game".
The third vid, I don't know that one yet, will watch it later today.
