Here are a couple of the main Knife-Throwing groups. They all offer something a little different, from annual competitions, to contests, or newsletters. Best of all, you get to be a part of something you really enjoy, along with other people who share the same enjoyment of throwing blades as you do.
And you usually get a cool patch and membership card when you join too! Just be sure to contact the club before signing up to find out exactly what you get for your money. Ask any questions you may have and they'll be happy to answer them for you. Best of luck and have fun!
Do your part to keep the sport alive and join up...I DID!!

There is an active mailing list for the members to chat, and we take care that each year there is a Big Throwers Meeting in a different country as a place for the community to meet, throw and have fun. Society for Creative Anachronism
The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an International organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre 17th century European history. All persons interested in such study are invited to check out http://www.sca.org/ to obtain information about the SCA.
The Society has, what some might consider, quite a grueling format for thrown weapons competition. A participant in a competition is expected to throw two of three weapons. At the competition in which I participated, the competitors had a choice of knives, axes (tomahawks) and spears.

Cedar Creek Knife & Hawk ClubThe Cedar Creek Knife & Hawk Club promotes and teaches the art of knife and tomahawk throwing. Safety is taught as the number one rule. The Club also keeps the spirit of the Mountain Man alive by dressing in pre-1840 attire for the throwing events. The Club would like to thank all those who have supported the Texas State Championship in the past and welcomes new throwers and supporters to the event.
The Texas State Knife & Tomahawk Championship was started by D.W. Denton as a promotion at a large flea market in Houston, TX in 1996. After four years the flea market dropped the sponsorship, so a small group of new throwers took the throw to Canton, TX in 2000, with 19 throwers competing. The Cedar Creek Knife & Hawk Club was formed and the next year the event was moved to Malakoff, TX where it has grown each year, and is now in the 2008 Guinness book of world records as the largest Mountain Man throwing event in the world. In 2008 there were 79 throwers that competed in pro, amateur, junior and youth divisions with over $5,000 in cash prizes and trophies.

San Diego ChuckerThe San Diego Chucker is the longest running knife throwing tournament in the United States. Since 2000, we have hosted competitors from almost every state in the Union, Mexico and even England.
The San Diego Chucker was originally founded by Carl Geddes on the premise of just having fun throwing knives and other pointy things. We have always focused on making sure that throwers new to the sport experience immediate throwing success. To us, knife throwing has always been about friendly competition and the joys of friendship and comeraderie.
