| I refrain from calling these Brass Knuckles unless I make them from brass This knuckle duster was pretty easy to make. The spikes probably took longer than the actual woodworking, but it was all-in-all very easy. Everyone should try to make one I think it came out fairly decent. Sure, the spikes are perfectly straight... But it's pretty strong. The material list is pretty short. Here is what I used: - A large galvanized steel nail (15 cm?) - A piece of hardwood - tiny staple gun nails (nails you put in a staple gun) - JB Weld (epoxy) I might end up painting/staining this piece. We'll see eventually. As for the tools... well I tried a bunch of things so I used many tools: - Chop Saw - Dremel (assorted bits) - Drill (assorted drill bits) - Assorted files - Sandpaper - Automatic sander Still, the list isn't very large and overall I would suggest this kind of project to any newb/noob. Wanna see how I made mine? https://sinza.forumotion.com/exotic-weapons-f2/bladed-knuckle-duster-pantera-claw-t1906.htm#30253Wanna see a full tutorial? https://sinza.forumotion.com/knuckle-dusters-f35/how-to-make-knuckles-t1756.htmHave fun, stay safe, and remember: illegal in all 50 states. According to my state law, there are ways for me to own one without legal issues, so I have one | |

| Alright Bovine With Bad Intentions,..... This is the deal. I've been watching this little project of yours unfolding, and I wanted to see where it went before I commented. To sum it up in one word.......... "Primo" I checked out your first "Bovine Buster", ( that's my name for it,.. not CCK's )... and I threw my 2 cents in with a couple of thoughts on that one. When you started this build I was expecting it to evolve into a hand held set of claws and leave the "knuckle duster" features behind, so I was pleasantly surprised when you ended up with this "Duster +3" for a final design. The only thing I might suggest would be to make the whole piece slightly slimmed down and constructed from a stronger material than wood. ( I worry that if you hit something harder than a face by accident you might split out the wood around the spike or finger hole areas ) Also I like the black/polished look of it, but it really shows off the slight flaws in the sanding around the finger holes. This puppy looks like it would scare the shit out of any potential attacker, and it's probably nasty enough to get you shot by a cop !!! ( So YEAH !!!! I guess that's a "two thumbs up" in my book ) Nice Job Little Bro,....... ..... A+ concept & build ! Shadowhound . | |

| It's wonderful......now make a better one.
If not metal....might I suggest Micarta. Black micarta is cheap, damn near indestructible, takes a really nice shine, available in black, maroon, and other colors.
He did a wonderful job of making 'the first model'.....the 'prototype'. Now step it up and make improvements. | |

| XIPHOIDS | Also known as a Retractable Forearm Dagger, Xiphoid is a class of weapons with a blade that is retractable into a forearm worn wristband/bracer sheath. Doers and Talkers | There's two kinds of people in this world when you boil it all down.
You've got your 'talkers' and you've got your 'doers'.
Most people are just talkers, all they got is talk. But when all is said and done, it's the doers who change this world. And when they do that, they change us. And thats why we never forget them...
So which one are you? Do you just talk about it or do you stand up and do something about it? Because believe you me, all the rest of it is just bullshit. |
